To protect and promote freedom of expression and independence of the media in accordance with the Constitution of India.To Enhance Professional Standards:
To encourage high standards of journalism, ethics, accuracy, and responsible reporting.To Provide Legal & Social Support:
To extend legal aid, insurance, health schemes, and social security benefits to members in distress or during professional hazards.To Conduct Training & Workshops:
To organise training programmes, workshops, seminars, and conferences to upgrade skills and knowledge of journalists in emerging trends.To Address Grievances:
To represent and resolve grievances of journalists with government, media houses, and other bodies for fair treatment and working conditions.To Recognise Excellence:
To institute awards, honours, and recognitions for outstanding contributions in journalism.To Promote Regional Language Media:
To encourage and support journalism in Kannada and other regional languages for cultural and linguistic preservation.To Collaborate with Similar Bodies:
To liaise with national and international journalist unions for mutual cooperation and development.To Undertake Welfare Activities:
To establish welfare funds, housing schemes, and emergency relief for journalists and their families.
